So, where’d the name cozysprinkles come from anyway?

During covid, I was laid off and unemployed for over eight months. During this time, I rediscovered something I loved—gaming. When I was young, I played anything Kirby, fell in love with Final Fantasy, and even tried my hand at some action-packed games. My love of gaming dwindled during college, but during covid, one of my friends told me I should get a Nintendo Switch and try Animal Crossing. I borrowed my boyfriend’s switch, tried it out, and instantly fell in love again. My passion for gaming was back.

In Animal Crossing, you give your character a name. I wanted something cute, so I picked Sprinkles. In the game, you build your dream island. I love decorating, so I searched online for inspiration and found a whole Animal Crossing community. I quickly made a new Instagram account and joined the community.

Sharing my Animal Crossing designs grew into me discovering the cozy gaming community—people who love games that bring comfort and joy. I changed my name to cozysprinkles, which became my gamer tag and presence online.

From the community, I gravitated toward all things cozy. I enjoy lazy days by the fire in the fall, reading a book with soothing music, and listening to relaxing sounds that lull me to sleep. I wanted to share all things cozy, and now that’s what I do.
